"the president of my youth"
on the day of his funeral services, i have to pay my respects to the most wonderful man i've ever not known but felt as though i did. he was there during my most vulnerable years. i think i'll always remember the evening of his passing. on our drive home from orem to salt lake, we passed several temples brightly lit on a dark cloudy night. i thought of the legacy he would leave for the world. i also thought of the glorious reunion that must have been happening in heaven at that very moment; his reunion with his wife and what i imagine was an enormous choir of angels. he will be missed...
p.s. and being groundhog's day i have to mention my love for the movie with the same name. and bill murray in general.

We watched his funeral services as well today. So touching. I heart him very much and hope that I can be an example of what he taught.
...and Bill Murry is awesome in Groundhog's Day! And especially in What About Bob, my fav.
What a beautiful tribute! Loved reading it. And Groundhog Day? Duh, only one of the funniest movies of all day, that genius Bill Murray, I tell ya.
I'm really liking these 14 days of things that you heart. It keeps me entertained knowing that there will at least be new material on yours and Gina's blog everyday.
People in church were saying how they didn't feel sad at all when they heard he died because we know he is in a better place...but I still feel sad because I miss him and love him. Thanks for the tribute and I love Groundhogs day.
