why are boys soooo difficult? stevie bevie's 26th birthday is tomorrow and i have yet to think of one special thing (except setting up the dish install) to do for him. i think i've brought home dew and pickle chips often enough that it won't seem special. i've already written a nice post about him, so that is old hat. plus who knows if he'll even see it when we have no internet at home. our house is in shambles so a party is out of the question, not to mention the fact that he'll probably have homework. luckily he took care of his presents on his own and helped himself to some new street shoes and knee/shin guards for mountain biking. if he were a girl, any girl, i would surely think up the most amazing party and treats, but since he's a boy (and i might add that he is a boy who doesn't care about anything even remotely close to what i care about) i am at a total loss...

Man...guy Birthdays are so hard! I sympathize, dear friend. Although it may seem obvious, something sexy and see-through to wear after dinner generally will make any man's Birthday a special one! Surprise him by taking him to lunch, or make him something special for dinner or take him out. Just spend time together not doing house projects and since he's married to such a stellar chick, no matter what you do his Birthday will rock.

Spot on, jewels.

But food is always good too.

And congrats on the house!!!

I mean, really, shouldn't he be giving you a present? :P
How about you take him on a biking tour and end in a pre-planned, secluded spot which will have your favorite nummies? Like grapes and cheeses etc. Just a thought! I know you both like the bike thing!

I might be a little late to the party, but I have the same problem with my husband who's birthday is tomorrow.

I did come up with a super duper idea this year though (with some help) I am renting him a REALLY fast, fun convertible as a surprise (in our case a mustang shelby and I'm going to pick him up from work in it) and he was told to pick stuff for a "Man Day." That includes dinner, breakfast, whatever sports activities he wants to do all day . . . I'm not sure if he'll love it but I think he will!

Happy Birthday to Steve. I am sorry I am no help at all - being married to the brother it seems I have the same problems and I am no good at surprises or anything very tricky. Jewels has a great plan. Good luck!
