high chairs

we'll be in need of a high-chair soon. which got me to thinking: i love high chairs. not the kind your mom straps you into while shoveling mashed veggies in your face; the kind where you sit up high so your feet dangle-even if you are a grown up. with my feet off the ground life doesn't seem so looming. for a few floating minutes it seems that everything will be okay. that the hospital bills will get paid. that our future will be decided and that we'll be okay with the decision. that poor rusty will find a home. that arrested will make a come-back.

If you don't already have a dining table you love, when you look for one you should get a pub height table. You sit on a barstool for every meal. They're the best! We bought ours last fall and we love it! We get compliments on it all the time too.

I flipped to Rachel Ray the other day (I know she is annoying) and Antique Roadshow guys were on and someone had that chair you have pictured and I wanted it. It even spins, could you ask for more?

buddens-thanks for the tip! we got a pub height table last summer, and yes it is great. when you actually eat dinner at a table! or when you actually eat dinner at home with someone else....some day we'll get to that point! but it looks great!
