haven and sage had their very first dance class together today! haven's been looking forward to it for weeks and was so excited all morning.
once class officially started, she became a little apprehensive. most of the time she looked like this:
sage, on the other hand, was nuts. most of the time she looked like this:
i don't know what this position is called, but haven is her mother's daughter and she is NOT a natural:
despite her unprecedented shyness haven persisted and eventually warmed up. it may have had something to do with miss renee playing music from toy story, but here she is bustin' a move:
she was pretty proud of herself when she came out of her shell and actually did some dancing. i'm excited to see how the rest of the classes go.
and in case you were wondering, yes, nash is still with us ;)

she is so stinkin' cute.
She did awesome. It was pretty hilarious to watch all those 2 year olds. I love it. Thanks for taking way cuter pictures than I got with my phone. I can't wait to see what they do next week.
she is (two words) A. Dorable! I don't care if Blair is THE most uncoordinated girl there is, she will wear a tutu and take a dance class. :)
I have GOT to fix my computer. for some weird reason my you tube WON'T work, things don't load. and I'm dying to watch Haven's videos... both!
way to shake it haven. and that ms. renee is all class. love it.
have you shown haven the picture of us in our tutus back in the day?
Now that. Is just freaking cute.
Nash who?
:-)
first dance classes are right up there in cuteness with first piggy tails!
love it!!! so super cute! how awesome that they get to take dance together!! hopefully preezy and brecks will be that cute in a year or two! xoxo
LOVE IT. Oh man, and g can't wait to shake it with her. He sat and watched the video with me and started doing the shuffle step. (saying "SHU-FULL STEP!")...which is actually the only thing I remember from my first dance class as a two-year-old (okay, i don't actually remember, but what I remember from the tape-and i think havey will thank you later...). Although my teacher was having us YELL it for some reason. so you see a line of two year old girls looking angry and yelling SHUFFLE STEP to warm up and then SCREAMING "On the Good Ship Lollipop". Then my mom let me quit because I cried about hating tights.
