post-purchase pleasure!

i think i hate post-purchase posting just about as much as pity posting, but since i've already pity posted this week, ah what the heck! i just scored this sweet new diaper bag:

my besties bought me my first petunia picklebottom diaper bag when little nash was just a bean in my tummy-gender unknown. it has since seen less than its fair share of wear and tear, but it still managed to rub itself thin leaving four little holes and frays in multiple places. i like to discredit the makers of ppb themselves-i'm not sure why anyone would think making a diaper bag out of a silky fray-prone fabric a good idea. well, they wised up and now offer "glazed" diaper bags that seem much more durable and wipe-cleanable! plus, the messenger/shoulder bag (i previously had the boxy backpack) will make carrying two babies and a diaper bag much more manageable!

oh, speaking of carrying two babies-maybe just maybe nash will be walking by the time baby 2 comes along-he took two whole steps today! steve and i about died and gave each other a double high-five in his honor.

I am so happy to be able to be the first to comment on this post. I LOVE IT!!! Next baby is entitled to a PPB I've already informed Mike. You do know this is how I first knew who you were right? I told Mike you had a cute diaper bag. Funny...anyways Ethan and Nash should be besties..he took his first mini step today also. 2 is chaos...best of luck!!

Super cute Liz. Nothing like spending a little money to make yourself feel good! Totally worth it!

Cute bag! Deb said that they took your other bag back, way to go Nordy's! And Woohoo Nashy boy! Very exciting. Everyone says not to push kids to walk - but I got sick of the crawling stage and walking is just so cute.

perfect time for a double high-five. I totally approve of the new bag. The first bag is probably a little hasty. We cared more about fashion than practicality. We were young and foolish then.

oh-good news on this: my purchase price was a mere $18.75! Nordstrom is such an amazing store that they actually took my old back in exchange. All the sales girls agreed that a bag that expensive should really hold up. THEY actually talked ME into it!!!

amy d-they can't be besties!!! ethan is walking and isn't he like two or three months younger than nash? hell no-he would give nash a complex being so much more advanced! maybe when they are a tad older and the playing field has evened out!

So cute! Love the bag. And yeah, I have no idea why the satin diaper bag was such a smash. I mean, they were SO freaking cute (I even bought one for a friend of mine when she was pregnant), but they get frayed and worn out so fast! Love the new one, love it.

Super cute! I am a hug fan of the oil-cloth type fabrics these days. The fabric is so durable and the wipe down feature is a no-brainer when it comes to a diaper bag that doubles as a changing table.
Double high five right back at Nash. He's a stud muffin.

Nash is dope... I really shouldn't be surprised...Radical does it again. p.s. That bag is even more you than the first one! Also you can talk to Donna P about holding two babies...she knows what it is all about. I think Nash is going to be pretty helpful though...I can see it in his eyes.

I had a ppb bag too with-- with holes and stains!!! Ahh they are so cute but sometimes not practical. Then I traded it in and got a fleurville bad instead --I love it but a but space age- super easy to clean. Then I was at the store the other day and saw ppb bgs with a plastic coating- just about died- I want it! Oh- well maybe next kid.. or two.. or three. So you are prego????? Awesome!!

Liz- the same thing the ppb bag had a fruit juice stain on it and they couldn't get it out at nordstrom dry cleaning so they MADE me take a new bag-- too bad that the ppb with vinyl coating wasn't made at the time- it makes me want to exchange my fleurville( which has the tiniest hole in the plastic) for a new bag!!! Totally come to my christmas party!!! There will be other young couples for sure-- and a cookie exchange is a must at christmas- plus I can see your little boy.
